HELICOPTER AQUATIC RESCUE TEAM
The Rescue Company 1 Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (TRCI-HART) is a division of ACT Medical Solutions. This team is made up of civilians that are trained as critical care flight paramedics/Nurses, helicopter rescue technicians, ocean rescue lifeguards and swiftwater/floodwater rescue technicians. This highly specialized aerial search and rescue team provides an air asset for the citizens of Florida and the nation to respond to natural and man made disasters incidents. Team members receive technical training that prepares them to engage in hostile environmental conditions both urban, open ocean and wilderness setting. TRC 1-HART members risk their lives so that others may live.
Aquatic Rescue Response Team (ARRT)
Provides air SAR using rotary wing aircraft during day or night under Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC). Completes SAR personnel insertion or extraction and SAR equipment transport. Performs air SAR that includes technical rescues, hoist or short-haul techniques, specialized helicopter operations in all water environments such as swiftwater, and evacuation. Provides medical care that includes Basic Life Support (BLS) and transport to Advanced Life Support (ALS) providers. Operates in environments with or without infrastructure, including those with compromised access to roadways, utilities, transportation, or medical facilities, and with limited availability to shelter, food, and water
